Please bring the Safra Shooting Registration Forms tml,19/08/2009, with $ 80 exact change for the registration fees. Also there is going to be a monthly shoot at Safra this Sunday afternoon for all shooters which will cost approximately $20. Attendance is compulsaryMore details will be provided later this week.

Dear all,
Training resumes from next week onwards. That is 22 July 2009 (Wenesday) at 3 pm tentatively. All are expected to be in their PE shirts and pants. Since attendance would be taken down all are expected to come or else it would be taken as you were absent for training. From now on parents letters are not allowed and only MCs will be accepted. All who miss training are to produce one during the next training to the secretary. And do not forget your water bottles and towels. Hope you all are doing well! cheers!!

CJC shooting club relay system

Hey Shooters,

Following todays training as promised the exco has come up with a relay message system. This has been created in order to initiate a more effective communication between all the members of the club and hence increase bonding as well as make us more organized. There are four groups in the system with a leader as the head. So for example if one wants to send a message to all of the other members they just have to send it to the four leaders. From then on they will send the message to the next person and this continues till the last person receives the messages. After which the last person will sms back the first person of the group indicating that they have received the message. The four groups are as following. The names are in order of the first to the last person.

hiii guys, the long-awaited (i'm sure all you enthusiastic shooters are looking forward to it!), training camp is around the corner! anywayzz, here's the NEW list of things to bring and pack along! (:

So once again, here's some key details you need to know to refresh your memory of the camp after all that mugging (since shooters are oh-so hardworking huhh):

When: 30th - 31st May 2009 (Sat-Sun)
Reporting Time: 7:50am

There will be no training tomorrow, but ALL Shooters are to gather at the canteen tables nearest to the Muslim stall. (regardless of study session) From there, Mr Teo will brief us more about the Science Exhibition going on.

All shooters, please note that the Training Camp dates would be confirmed as:

8.00am, 30 May 2009 (Saturday) to
~9.00pm, 31 May 2009 (Sunday)

and last but not least.................

There will NOT be any Exco meeting tomorrow. Instead, there will be a General Meeting for ALL J2s on 13 May 2009, Wednesday from 3pm onwards. This is regarding the run-through of the Shooting Training Camp. Please be there to keep yourselves informed. Ending time is not defined cos we hope to just do this once, thoroughly.

You've all trained very hard, and I appreciate all the efforts and contributions you've made in your own ways to the team, making our team a fun-loving and bonded one. I've enjoyed every single training session we've had together and you girls give me a reason to look forward to every shooting training! Love all the times we pig out together, chat about nothing in particular, or just walking around malls aimlessly trying to find stuff to buy. You're all probably worried and nervous now, but just have fun. Enjoy yourself and shoot well for the nationals tomorrow and do not regret.

I've grown to love each and every one of you in the team. So, regardless of the outcome tomorrow, whether or not we win or lose (unlikely to be the latter, ~~i hope~~), our team will always be the best of the best in my heart, and APW will always stand tall! (:

We hope all of yall enjoyed your first official training in CJ and learnt much from it yesterday although not all your seniors could make it down.. :(

Always remember bring/do the necessary things! You all know what I mean.

As for today, it's great to see that more of you turned up for morning runs!

There are a total of 25 of yall:

Today's timings were:

Guys: 14.47 minutes
Girls: 15.25 minutes

for 7 rounds.

Good job, but there's much more potential in each and every shooter. Keep it up! But keep the timings down. Lol

Subsequent morning runs will be conducted by your PTIs, Cherie and Jonathan. (no pellets involved :p) Even if you are unable to run on that day due to a medical reason, still turn up for it, you can contribute in other ways. Attendance will be taken.

Do remember to come early (that is slightly earlier than 6.45am) for it so that we can start altogether on time and yall would have more time to change/bathe in school before assembly.

Hmmm...by the way, for future morning runs, please gather at the bottom-most steps of the grandstand. I'm not trying to be racist or what but yeah, I really can't see yall clearly in the morning.

Please note that there WILL be JC1 training on Friday, 13 March 2009.

1. There will be NO morning runs led by the JC2s tomorrow (Tuesday). But if you want to run together, feel free to do so. :)

2. There will JC1 Training on 11 March 2009, Wednesday from 3pm to 6pm. There would be no PT before that. Please take note of Zai Hao who would be assisting in the JC1 Training. Some JC2s might come down if they can make it/have the time to spare. Remember to bring the necessary things for training. Jeans are optional for this training.

3. There will be morning runs on Thursday at 6.45am. Attendance is taken.

Last but not least, to the lively JC1s, remember to study hard for your CAs! (and score well too) It's still IMPORTANT kayyy! :)

Hey all, please take note of some of these important details to make tomorrow's Open House a successful one (on our part, that is) :D

The Open House will be from 1-6pm. BUT, everyone is supposed to report at 12pm, at the canteen. If for some reason or another (and I mean a VALID reason), you have to leave early please inform either, Christopher.L, Christine or Junyi. EVERY single one of you are expected to come for this.

The people who are to report at 11pm in the canteen to set up the booths and hang up the banners, etc, are:

Our booth will be located in between the flag poles and we will be having 2 canteen tables&benches.

Please come in any CJC TOP with long pants/skirt.

If you intend to shoot, the range will be open at 12pm, remember to bring your towels and water bottles, and jeans/track pants to shoot. Regardless of whether or not you're shooting, you are required to still be in a CJ top.

Everyone are to have a decent hair cut (based on school's standards) tomorrow. The DMs will be on patrol and if any is caught, the impression given of the club will be a negative one. Please do not taint the club's image! Sacrifice your hair for the club :D

As for the people who have trophy/medals, please bring them all tomorrow. Yes, every single on you have!

Please bear in mind that although CJ may not be the first choice of school to some students visiting tomorrow, it is important (nevertheless) to give them a good impression of CJ. There will be schools bringing students on a school tour, so lets all be on our best behaviour (:

Remember: CJ(as compared to other JCs) is known for its outgoing and hospitable students, so try to be as enthusiastic as you can (we all know everyone in the club is VERY vocal anyway ;D) tomorrow.

The main objective of this Open House for CJ, is to make CJC known. Our objective as CJ shooters, is to promote CJ, as well as CJC Shooting Club. We need to be on our best behaviour at all times. This does not mean we are not fun and interesting people (:

Peer pressure is very strong form of motivation behind a decision.So, if you're ableto interest one person to join us, they will highly-likely try to pull their friends in too. Surely all of us are able to draw people in somehow or other.

Other JC students may also mak a trip down to take a look at CJ's Open House, and you may run into your friends, interacting with your peers is not necessarily a bad idea, and we are not discouraging it (afterall, we should play good hosts), but do keep your priorities in mind; which is to attract people into joining CJ (particularly the Sec 4/5 graduates).

There will be 2 stations (the booth and the range) and these are the people here are the stations you are allocated in:

BOOTH: Chunyong, Richmond, Jiongle, Clasandra, Queenie, Jonathan

RANGE: Amanda, Hutt Shun, Kimberly, Valerie, Yei Hearn, Zai Hao, Debbie, Evelyn, Junyi.

For those in charge of the booth;
Please station yourself at the booth, do not wander off to another CCA booth. If you need to excuse yourself, please be back at the booth ASAP.
Zai Hao will brief you on the games to be carried out at the booth tomorrow.

For those in charge of the range;
Do observe the conduct expected of you in the range at ALL times, still. Clear the litter in the range when its open. A clean range is needed to leave a good impression of the shooting club to our visitors.

Shooters who are shooting, do shoot at the best that you can. There is no need to give extra pressure to yourself, but there is no reason to be slack at the same time, to impress the secondary school students (abit ego, but the good of our club).

Christopher and myself (Christine) will be overseeing the event. As such, we will be at the booth and the range, either one.

Aren't you guys excited?? 2009's coming in like 9 hours time!! Haha! Anyway, here are the updates:

There will be a COMPULSORY training on the 6 January 2009 at 9am to 1pm. Please bring along your stationery and writing materials as we will be doing 2008 Reflection and 2009 Target Setting. Hey, we want to know how 2008 went for YOU! :D So do a meaningful one, we're not expecting some lengthy fancy essay... JC's only 2 years...wouldn't it be good to know what you want from it? Even for social shooters, do know what you want to gain as well as what and how you want to contribute to the club.
There will also be training on 7 January 2009 at 9am to 1pm. It's not labelled 'compulsory', but you still have to come nevertheless.
Open House is on the 9 January 2009. I'm sure you would want to see the new batch of people! Come on down and welcome them! We will be needing all the water guns (any sort) that you can beg, steal, buy and borrow. (lol, except for the steal). More will be mentioned about it soon, keep yourselves updated.
Weapons have been transported back to school on the 29th. Thanks to all those who had come down! :D

Time to get down to business..
A friendly shoot-out will be held on the 26th and 27th this month and those of you who are shooting have already received a similar SMS to notify you. Anyway, just in case, the details will be posted here too.

26th Dec, Fri-
Pistol girls & Chun Yong will be shooting at 5.30pm slot; shooters are to report at 5pm.
Rifle girls and the remaining 2 pistol boys will be shooting at 7.30pm for the walk-in lanes; to report at 5.30pm to help out wih the counting of scores etc.

27th Dec, Sat-
Rifle Boys to report at 1pm and walk in for lanes after the NTT monthly shoot.

Shooters who are to walk in for the lanes please do not be late! If you dont get the lanes, you'll have to come down on the 27th again (so its twice, and you'll only waste your own time), which means to say rifle boys cannot be late at all. This does not mean shooters scheduled to shoot on the 26th can be late or not come. Please be punctual, everybody!

Just in case you don't know who you are;

The air weapons will be then transported to SAFRA. School training will still continue, but their 'main base' will be at SAFRA. Any changes may be subjected to Coach or teachers. Hello everyone,

The club dinner has been confirmed for this Friday, 11 July. Meet at City Hall MRT at 1720h (5:20pm) sharp. We'll be walking into the resturant since seats cannot be reserved. If you are late, you will have to make it there yourself and there is no gurantee you'll have a place (maybe you could just stand outside :D). There would be the DSA trials on both 2 & 9 June. All J1 exco are required to be present to oversee the entire process (they might potentially become your juniors in the future!). The J2 exco will find a time to sit down with all of you and do a job scope run through as well as clear up any questions you guys have regarding duties and stuff. Meanwhile, if you encounter any problem feel free to contact any one of us. We'll be more than willing to help you

No updates for last week. Hope you all had a rest(ful) labour day.

Anyway, there's a monthly shoot planned for both the J1s and J2s this coming week. J1s on Wednesday and J2s on Friday. Check your emails for more information.

Therefore there will be no training for the J1s this coming week, but everyone will be required to come down on Friday for their usual physical training session. After that is over (probably by 3-4pm), you guys can go back. Morning run will resume on Tuesday and Thursday as well.

For those who see this, inform the rest of the people.

Okay old people

This week's monthly shoot for all of us. On friday we would be having the cca bazaar (i'm sure all of us are aware of it). Recuiting will begin next week on wednesday and friday. The same thing as O1. We'll be conducting the introductory lecture, test and evaluation. More details on friday. Everyone will have to come down. Studying is not an excuse. You need to study, but so do others. Must be fair to everyone. Common tests are around the corner, but this is one outstanding issue that we must settle. Study now while you can :)

As you all might know, all the teams will be taking part in the upcoming tampines junior college invitational shoot on 23 feb. Hence training will be stepped up temporarily. I know that some of us (including me) are not exactly prepared for the common tests, but we have little choice but to set our priorities. After the shoot I'll suspend training so that you guys can really have the time to really study. But in the meantime, do what you can with the time you have :)

Now before the year closes, we got several things that need to be looked at. The first one is orientation. Training during the first of school has yet to be confirmed, but be prepared to stay back to do further discussions for the various programmes we would be organising. I will not be around during this period (due to O1), so Ismail would be taking charge of all shooting affairs. Will update you guys when I get any further news from the teachers or when I have met and discuss with the EXCO

Secondly, please settle all outstanding debts with the club so that Valerie will be able to complete her treasury report. Don't be an ass and keep dragging it again (from what I know, some of you owe money since like the beginning of the year -.-)

Erm. anyway. you guys have been selected to go to yishun safra to get all our equipment back on 5th Nov. Sean will be in charge of the operation. Do discuss among yourself who would be coming back to sch to collect the locker keys. we'll be having an exco meeting at 1130 so it would be advisable tt you go to sch at tt time. i'll get the keys for the range when you guys come back.

Hellooo people.

Now that pw is coming to a close and the chinese 'A' lvl papers are soon to be over, we got work to do. The next thing would be planning our training schedule for the holidays. As you may already know, Mr Tan wants to meet us on 29th October @ 1200. The venue is yet to be confirmed but I will get back to you guys as soon as I recieve anything.

Once you op are over, please start training on your own (even now its possible). Check with your captains to arrange a time when you can go down. For those who are taking sup-papers, do train also because we have very little time. In 2 months we are trying achieve what people did in like 2 years, so you better start. We wish you all the best for your paper and we will see you next year as J2s.

Eh. We got work to do people. For those who have been so 'fortunate' as to be 'selected' by your captains, you would have to be at the range at 2pm this thurs. The econs department would be having a recreational shoot so we would need people there. At least there is a better part to it becos you would be released at 1pm. You would each be assigned a lane/duty for the day. Everything should end latest by 4pm. Just come in your uniform. Thanks :D

Hey people,

This is kinda of last mintue, but all trainings this wk would be cancelled. Meaning you all will not have to stay back on both wed and fri. If i am not wrong, trainings would officially resume (according to Mr Tan) on 6 Nov. So until then, everyone can take a break. Hopefully you guys have done well for promos.

The promos are over already! :D Now we have a lot of things to do. First things first, we got open house to prepare for. We'll be meeting at the foyer after the chinese mock paper on monday. Got quite abit of things to discuss and settle.

Anyway, the captains would be meeting their teams.

Anyways, there would be a clear up training on 12 September 2007, Wednesday. Mr Tan asked me to gather all of you to help shoot the weapons so tt they dont like spoilt or something. i'll try to open the range by 2pm, so do gather outside the range at tt time. no need for pt kits, just come in ur uniform. many hands make easy work, so while u might think tt u would like to use tt time to study, rmb tt there are another 26 others who hae the equal need to also :) we should be able to finish everything by 4 if we are fast. got some open house things to complete also, so tt we dont work our asses off after the promos (we're supposed to relax!)

and tt settles it :) ALL THE BEST FOR THE PROMOS! :D happy mugging people!
